The idea comes from my desire to have a standalone version of the
Scale-Finder page of www.overblow.com.
www.overblow.com is a web site
dedicated to the overblow technique that allow blues harp players to
play chromatically on a diatonic harmonica. The Scale-finder is an
online tool that allow player to visualize the available notes
depending on the key and the tuning of the harp and allow to
visualize many diffesrent scales.
Harmap is freeware. You can download and use it at no cost. You can share it with your friends.
Despite the fact that Harmap is available at no cost, it is not (yet) an open source project. Harmap is my baby for the moment. It might become Open Source when I'm rich and famous.
Harmap is written in Java and works on Windows, Mac OS and Linux platform.
My name is Arnaud. I'm French (now you know why this site is written in poor and broken English). I am a software developer and I play the blues harp as a hobby. I love tabletop roleplaying games too.
